Medications

Medications are grouped by type or route. They are derived from several source systems associated with hospital encounters, emergency care, surgical day care, dialysis, newborns and research. Medication data is organized using the National Drug File Reference Terminology (NDFRT) and RxNorm codes. Epic and legacy data, as well as a subset of National Drug Codes, are mapped to the corresponding RxNorm values. Medications within the hierarchy can be found through the source coding system or by searching on the generic or brand name.

Patient counts in the table include patients with one or more mentions of a medication within the associated class
